Our work

Real jobs, real photos. Here is this season's work, plus driveways Mark has managed for longtime clients over 30 years of mountain site work.

This season: washout repair in Evergreen

A gravel driveway with no plan for the water. Every storm ran straight down the driveway and cut a deep channel along one side. Here it is from both ends, before and after.

Looking down from the top. One steady slope now sheds the water off to the left.

Looking up from the bottom. The channel the runoff cut is gone, graded out and covered with new 3/4" gravel.

What was wrong

No slope to move the water off the surface and no planned place for it to go, so runoff carved ruts down the driveway.

What we did

Regraded the driveway to one steady slope so water sheds off to the left, then resurfaced it with new 3/4" gravel.

Materials

About $3,400 in materials alone, not counting labor or machine work. How our pricing works.

Earlier driveways Mark has managed

These are projects from Mark's years of mountain site work for longtime clients. On each one Mark ran the job. The asphalt and concrete were laid by trusted paving and concrete crews.

Salida, Colorado

Asphalt driveway built on heavy clay

Mark managed the asphalt installation. The site had heavy clay, so a lot of subsurface prep went in to remove it before any paving.

Salida is outside our current service area. We include it because it shows the ground work that goes under a lasting driveway.

Driveway approach, gate and landscape

Mark designed where the driveway enters the property and how it approaches the home, installed the gate, managed the asphalt installation, and handled all of the landscaping.

Thinking about asphalt or concrete? Ask us. Whatever goes on top, the drainage and base underneath have to be right first. More on base and surfaces.
